Delite - 866 IM - Tide Watch

The case is made of high-quality 0.8 mm thick brass sheet. The surface is highly polished and painted. The front glass is made of PMMA (acrylic glass). Tide indicator with French and English text. Accuracy: ±6 min/year (±1 sec/day). The time from the highest point of the sun on one day to the highest point of the next day is 24 hours. The time span from the highest point of the moon on one day to the highest point of the next day is 24 hours, 50 minutes and 28 seconds. The day and night of a tide clock therefore last 50 minutes and 28 seconds longer than a normal day and night. The hand of the tide clock therefore needs 12 hours, 25 minutes and 14 seconds, with the hand accurately indicating the cycle of the tides. Delite produces Altitude in Denmark and uses suppliers in France and Germany.
