The display will count down from 6 to 1, indicating memory reset. - When "L" is flashing, keep the engine in neutral and allow it to idle. - When the display shows "1", engage first gear, release the clutch, and maintain engine speed above idle. The device begins learning the gear pattern. - When the display shows "2", shift into second gear. - Repeat this process through all gears (up to 5 or 6) until programming is complete. - Once programmed, the unit will correctly indicate the current gear. - On next startup, the display will count up from 1 to 6, confirming full functionality. Note: Perform setup only when the engine is warm for accurate idle performance. Use a long, straight road with light traffic. Do not stare at the display while riding—always focus on the road. The unit does not relearn previously stored data, allowing reliable on-road setup. To install: Locate the connector under the fuel tank or beneath the seat.
