The PEX 8112 supports forward and reverse bridging as defined by the PCI to PCI Express / PCI-X Bridge Specification 1.0 In forward mode, the bridge allows legacy PCI chips and adapters to be used with new PCI Express processor systems. Reverse Bridge operation allows legacy PCI processors and chipsets to configure and control PCI Express switches and endpoints In contrast, the PEX 8112 not only allows complete configuration of downstream PCI Express systems from the PCI bus, but can also handle limited PCI Express root functions for reverse interrupt and power management events Specification: Chipset: PXE8112 Compliant with PCI specification version 2.3 PCI 32-bit card for PCI Express x1, x4, x8 or x16 PCI Express 1-lane port (1 virtual lane), 2.5Gbps Compliant with PCI Express specification version 1.0 Combination low-profile PCI 32-bit host card Supports PCI slots 3.3V/1A, 3.3Vaux/100mA, 5V/ and 12V/500m Plug and Play Support Windows Server 2000 / NT / XP / Vista / Win 7, for Linux, with available PCI slot No driver is required for this product
