If bubbles are found, gently shake the electrode to remove the bubbles in the sensitive bulb, otherwise it will affect the accuracy of the test. Calibration and Testing of the Electrode and the pH Meter 1. Connect the pH electrode to the input of the PH instrument, ensure the connection is correct. 2. Perform the calibration according to the instruction manual of the instrument, measure the calibration result. Storage and Maintenance of the Liquid-filled Composite pH Electrode 1. After use, clean the electrode with distilled water and put it in a protective bottle. It will be activated by injecting the solution before the next test. 2. If the electrode is not used for a long period, it must be rinsed and the remaining distilled water must be absorbed. 3. The sensitive glass bulb on the front of the electrode should not be in contact with hard objects, any damage and scratches will render the electrode invalid. 4. After long-term use of the electrode, the electrode's slope and response rate may decrease. Contamination of the sensitive bulb or blockage of the liquid junction will passivate the electrode, the response speed will be considerably slower, the slope will be reduced or the reading will be stable, so you must choose corresponding treatment methods according to the nature of the pollutant.
