The RP2040 microcontroller features a dual-core ARM Cortex-M0+ processor, capable of running up to 133MHz. It includes 264KB of SRAM and 2MB of on-chip Flash. The board layout allows direct soldering onto custom base plates. Functionalities include USB 1.1 host and device support, low power sleep and hibernation modes, and USB mass storage recognition. The board offers 29 GPIO pins, with 20 accessible via row pins and the remainder through soldering points. Additional features include 2 SPI interfaces, 2 I2C buses, 2 UARTs, 4 12-bit ADCs, and 16 PWM channels. The RP2040 includes an on-chip clock and timer, a built-in temperature sensor, and an on-chip accelerated floating point library.
