TSL2561 Breakout Sensor Breakout Brightness Breakout GY-2561 The TSL2561 Breakout Light Sensor is a sophisticated light sensor that has a uniform response across most of the visible spectrum. Unlike simpler sensors, the TSL2561 measures both infrared light and visible light to better approximate the response of the human eye. And because the TSL2561 is an integrating sensor (it absorbs light for a predetermined amount of time ), it is able to measure both small and large amounts of light by changing the integration time. The TSL2561 is able to communicate directly over I2C and is able to easily drive specific light ranges from 0.1 - 40k+ Lux . Additionally, the TSL12561 contains two analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) integrating currents from two photodiodes simultaneously. Each breakout requires 3V supply voltage and 0.6mA low supply current.
